What are the important things to be carried out before having a look at the vehicle?
Ask the seller the following things :
- Does the seller have the registration number, the date which the tax disc will get expired on, the make and model of the vehicle (brand and name of the car) and the test number of MOT?
This information above can be used to receive information on the history of the vehicle before you actually go to see the vehicle.
- If he/she can make it possible for you to check the vehicle out in the daytime at the seller’s home and not in a public place? so you can carry out a proper, thorough check-up.
- If they are registered to keep the car? Which location will you be viewing the car at? Whether at the location displayed on the V5C, which is the address of the registered owner. However, if the seller does not turn out to be the registered keeper, are you satisfied enough by the way they have ensured you about them having the authority to trade the vehicle?
- Getting the vehicle examined by an expert, a qualified engineer would be a good idea too.
