What are the conditions to have DOC on your policy?
Most insurers set out the following few common requirements:
Firstly, an entirely detailed car insurance policy is required. Secondly, you need to be at the age of 25 or above, at the time of issuance of the policy. The other car must already be insured, plus you cannot be employed in the motor trade, i.e. where you often get to drive other cars. Lastly, the car you own must be in a driveable condition i.e. not written off. Your DOC extension also needs to be stated on your motor insurance certificate, if you have one.
